Aakash Adhikari, the founder of Sky Movies, holds a degree in Film acting and direction from Madhumati Institute, University of Bombay, India.

Kathmandu is one of few high budget Nepali movie. This is why it is targetted for international market. The team from this movie ware in US few months back for shooting this film and now they are busy for the World Premiere at the Scottish Rite Center in Oakland, California on October 3rd, 2009 at 6:00 PM. The story is based on people from small towns and villages with high ambitions in life who migrates to Kathmandu for better life style and opportunities, influenced by modern technological advancement the way of changing life style bring lots of ups and down to young generations. The Pinnacle of this movie is uncertainty in life.

This movie also shows well how the life style in Kathmandu and other urban areas are changing and people are getting into various problems including bad habbits and social crimes such as drug abuse, rapes, prostitutions, and others. It also showwed that the youngsters in Kathmandu and other cities are getting prone to o smoking, drinking, drugs, sex, discos and parties.

Probably for the first time, hollywood actress Ria Murphy is acting on one of the leading character of this movie. She is excited and thrilled with the concept of this film and expressed her good experience working in Nepal and Usa with Nepali film crew.Other actors in the film include Akash Adhikari, Gauri Malla, Nabin Ben Adhikari, Sunil Dutt, Samyukta Rana, Mamta Pradhan , Arjun SHrestha , Suresh Adhikari, Sangita Chhetri, Resh Marhatta and many more.

Apart from that Bollywood singersAakriti Kankard, Sunidhi Chauhan, Adhitya Narayan & Sanjivini , Kailash Kher and Sukhwinder Singh (Sukhwinder Singh is also doing a cameo role in one song) gave their voice on few songs. opular nun and singer Ani Choying Dolma is also featured doing a stage show in this movie.

Technically, This movie will be a great movie as it is shoot with advance Red Cinema 4 K camera for the first time in Nepali movie and this camera is not even used in Bollywood movies.
