The International is inspired from banking scandal that took palce throughout the 80's and early 90's in the BCCI, or Bank of Credit & Commerce International. It was first scheduled to be released in August 2008 but postpones until february after some re shoots to turn it into more of an action film.The film has been taken to theaters under the code name "Across Boundaries".
